Following Englands historic Ashes success we thought we'd have a look at common cricket injuries.

A British Council sports survey has reported 2.6 injuries per 10,000 hours played. The most common injures are as follows:

1 Hamstring Strain- can be caused by the quick bursts of movement and sudden change in direction.

2 Low Back Pain- particularly among young fast bowlers due to repetitive rotation and hyperextension in the lumbar spine. This can cause stress fractures. June Bridals what items to wear in the prom for tall ladies

3 Side Strain- an oblique muscle strain is common in the non bowling arm due to the stretching nature of the movement.

4 Shoulder Pain- Rotator cuff and overuse injuries due to the repetitive movements required.

Good technique and proper training can help injury prevention, but if you have a cricketing injury contact your physio and get your rehab started!
